Not everyone wants their disability to define them — and at CRI, we respect that.

What matters most is making sure each person we support feels heard, respected, and empowered to live independently. Daniel’s story reflects just that.

In His Own Words

“My name is Daniel and I’m 31 years old. I live in Huntingdon County. With the help of my CRI caregiver, Hailey, I can now run errands when I need to and maintain medical appointments.

I’m grateful for CRI for all they’ve done for me in the past 10 years. I’ve been with CRI since I was 21. They always listen to me when I need someone to talk to.”

Why This Matters

For Daniel, support from CRI isn’t about labels. It’s about trust, consistency, and having a caregiver who listens. For more than a decade, CRI has been part of his journey — helping him stay independent while respecting his privacy and individuality.

Respect. Dignity. Independence.

At Community Resources for Independence, we believe every person deserves care that reflects their goals, their preferences, and their life. Whether it’s daily assistance or simply having someone who will listen, our DSPs are here to provide meaningful support.
