The 10th Annual Dennis J. Crotty Memorial Golf Outing

by | Aug 6, 2021 | Events, Fundraising

The 10th annual Dennis J. Crotty Memorial Golf Outing enjoyed an absolutely glorious day on July 30th 2021. The 2021 tournament was a great success, with 24 teams teeing off at Culbertson Golf Course in Edinboro. After we were forced to cancel 2020’s outing due to the pandemic, we took a mulligan and came back stronger in ’21 at a new course, more prizes, an improved beverage cart, and more golfers and sponsors.

We sincerely thank all of our golfers for making a great day even better with your good spirits and generosity. Many folks commented that this was among the very best of tournaments that they play in and they look forward to it every year. This year, we also had several golfers golfing in their first tournament. We hope that everyone had a great time for a great cause.

The proceeds of the 2021 Dennis J. Crotty Memorial Golf Outing exceeded $13,000, which is an increase over 2019. The proceeds support Community Resources for Independence’s Enrichment Program. We continue to support people at the end of their lives, enabling peaceful dignity in their final days and hours through our hospice wraparound program. Additionally, the CRI Enrichment Program enables the elderly and people with disabilities to take part in events and activities to enrich their lives, ranging from creative and expressive art, to community outings and events, from exercise and wellness to peer support and self-help, all part of the CRI Bright, Vibrant, and Active initiative.

Special thanks to our prime sponsors, Crotty Insurance and Home Renewal by Dore’, for supporting CRI for all of these years and making the Memorial Golf Outing better year after year. Thank you to all of our sponsors, several of whom continue to support the Outing year after year.
