Non-Medical Transportation Services for People with Disabilities

Community Resources for Independence (CRI) provides non-medical transportation services to participants on the Community HealthChoices (CHC) Waiver. This service is designed to support individuals with disabilities in the Erie County area, helping them maintain independence and stay connected within the community.

    People with disabilities often face unique challenges in finding accessible, dependable transportation. CRI’s non-medical transportation services are designed to help you:

    How to Access Transportation Services

    • Operating Hours: Non-medical transportation is available Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, based on driver availability.
    • Available for Non-Medical Needs: This service covers a variety of non-medical transportation needs, such as attending social engagements, running errands, or participating in community activities.

    Finding reliable, accessible transportation can be challenging for individuals with disabilities. CRI’s non-medical transportation services offer:

    • Convenient Schedulingthrough your MCO’s transportation broker.
    • Accessible Vehiclesdesigned to meet a variety of needs.
    • No Additional Costsas CRI works with your MCO to provide services within your waiver benefits.

    Contact your MCO Service Coordinator to request a ride. They will coordinate with a transportation broker to schedule your transportation, ensuring that your needs are met in a timely and accessible manner.
